Early in my career, a mentor told me if I wanted to tell the real story, I'd have to shoot the pictures too. Controlling every part of a narrative is what gives a message its authenticity. I love communicating with imagery as much as with words, and my work as a still photographer has made me a better partner to every art director and film producer I've worked with since.
